Through a naturalist’s eyes
"It is a pretty fair bet that most of you will have at least thumbed through Richard Mabey's Florida Britannica. It is a compendium of cultural information on wild plants which records surviving folklore, names and customs, and notes new ones. It is fascinating to dip into it and find something a bit different about our flora. Now Mabey, with Mark Cocker, is embarking on the companion title, Birds Britannica, and they are appealing for 'the public's help in mapping where brids fit into our everyday lives'."
