The latest casualty in the onward march of 'dumbing down' is Anglia TV's famous wildlife series, Survival. Yes, Survival has failed to survive. Although it normally makes enough money, Survival was mildly in the red last year, which unfortunately coincided with the arrival of a new management team from Granada. In the world of budget telly, you don't get a second chance. Now, Survival's team is about to be disbanded and dispatched to sink or swim in the freelance pond, or sent to Bristol, home of the BBC's Natural History Unit.
