Identification - Tracks and Signs of the Weasel Family

This is the first in an occasional series of articles dealing with the identification of mammals mainly from their tracks and trails. The term 'track' refers to a single footprint; the 'trail' is the combination of tracks characteristic of a particular gait and includes prints and other accesspry marks. Specific terms are used to describe tracks and trails. These are explained in the annotated diagrams.
