Few people who know Dawlish Warren remain indifferent to this sand-spit and estuarine reserve in South Devon. Dramatically situated near the mouth of the Exe, it closely adjoins a popular holiday resort. Though the Reserve may hold up to 20,000 people on a hot day, waders and wildfowl number 12,000 in the middle of winter.
