Reserve Focus – The Bosherston Lakes

The Bosherston Lakes were formed during the last 200 years by the damming of a small estuary in South Pembrokeshire. They have developed nationally important marl formations and associated charophyte flora. During the 1970s, water deterioration was linked with eutrophication and a number of management strategies have been implemented for restoration.
