Richard Mabey

Richard Mabey is the author of some 40 books, including the prize-winning Flora Britannica, Nature Cure and The Cabaret of Plants: Botany and the Imagination. His semi-autobiographical collection Turning the Boat for Home is published in October. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Literature and Vice President of the Open Spaces Society. He spent the first half of his life in the Chilterns and now lives in the Waveney Valley in Norfolk.
Richard writes regularly for British Wildlife in his column, scribbling in the margins.
