Butterflies for the New Millennium – a New Atlas of Butterflies in Britain and Ireland

Butterflies for the New Millennium (BNM) is the largest and most comprehensive survey of butterfly species ever undertaken in the British Isles. Butterfly Conservation (the British Butterfly Conservation Society), in association with the Biological Records Centre (BRC) at the Institute of Terrestrial Ecology, aims to create a fully computerised national network of butterfly recorders for the 21st century, involving an estimated 10,000+ individual recorders and a wide range of conservation organisations and records centres.
