Identification – British Grasshoppers

Until recently, the British Orthoptera were a comparatively neglected group. The fact that up to a few years ago the standard works on the subject were out of print and had become collectors’ items testifies to this. However, the last decade has seen an increasing interest in these delightful insects and with several useful identification books now on the market this interest will surely continue to grow.
