Nesting behaviour of the Red Kite in the Chilterns

Just over twn years ago, a decision was made by the Nature Conservancy Council (later the Joint Nature Conservation Committee) together with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) to reintroduce the Red Kite Milvus milvus into England and Scotland. Sites were then considered, and the Chiltern Hills were one of the places chosen (Carter et al. 1995).
