Identification: Broomrapes of the British Isles

Broomrapes are probably our most obvious and regularly encountered wholly parasitic (holoparasitic) plants. The British Isles are close to their northernmost extremes of range, and we therefore, not surprisingly, have relatively few species, most of which are rare and vulnerable.
