Revealing the foundations of biodiversity: The Database of British Insects and their Foodplants

Insects feeding on plants bring to mind images dominated by gardener's foes: red beetles congregated on lilies Lilium, sawfly caterpillars stripping Solomon's-seal Polygonatum hybridum, or coatings of 'green-fly' and 'black-fly'.
