ls nature conservation working for plants?

In 1998, delegates convened at the Zoological Society of London's Regent's Park HQ for a conference that was provocatively titled 'Is nature cosnervation working for plants?'. The answer must have been a resounding 'No!', for perhaps the most tangible outcome was the formation in 1989 of a new wild-plant conservation charity, Plantlife.
