"We are very prejudiced about trees, but because we tend to be mindlessly and uncritically in favour of trees it never seems such a bad prejudice as being mindlessly and critially against something. And so we tend to be in favour of trees, of woodlands, in favour of more forestry cover, in favour of the Woodland Trust, in favour of the Forestry Commuission and in favour of state retention in forests."
