Identification: Duckweeds and other simple floating aquatic plants

Everybody knows 'duckweeds', but few people actually bother really to look at them. However, these tiny plants include species which are amongst the most invasive plants in the British flora. They are usually poorly recorded, and with better recording they might tell us much about the state of the aquatic environment.
