"I hope the 'Lib Dems' appreciated their president Tim Farron's remarks after the Eastleigh by-election. 'We are a bit like cockroaches after a nuclear war', he said. 'Just a bit less smelly, we are made of sterner stuff'. But he warned that although 'we may be cockroach-ish' we 'shouldn't take that for granted. One day someone will stand on us if we are not careful.' "
