Comment: Bees in the UK – are they all important pollinators and what can be done to support them?

'Catastrophic decline in bees' is a much-quoted refrain often alongside prognostications of ultimate doom for human food supplies. In the same breath, accusations are made of farmers, in deadly association with chemists and their employing masters, as being almost single-handedly responsible for this impending disaster.
