Mowing regimes to benfit grasshoppers and crickets. The high ecological value of semi-natural grasslands is widely recognised, and maintaining them is a high priority. Many of our urban green spaces (e.g. parks, village greens and meadows) are valuable refuges for wildlife but are often over-managed in a misguided pursuit of neatness, so any studies on good management techniques are helpful.
