Habitat management news

The term "rewilding" has become a commonly used 'buzz-word' associated with large-scale habitat restoration and management schemes throughout Europe. Its primary aim is to restore natural processes across a landscape, with minimal human intervention. Initially these might be pump-primes by the introduction of large predators and/or herbivores. Once established, the lands are left more or less to their own device, with long-term interventions avoided."
