A young person’s view

Can today’s teenagers find room for nature in their lives? Do they even want to? If the author of this piece is anything to go by, the future of naturalism and nature-writing is in very good hands. 

Homework. Revision. Exams. Things can be pretty hectic for a teenager submerged in the inevitable pre-GCSE toil. There are days when you yearn to snatch a breather away from the timetables, mark schemes, and hypotheses. To spend some time in spaces that are bigger than textbooks or computer screens and to immerse yourself in the large stuff of life – habitats, ecosystems, and landscapes.
