‘Brexit’ – if it were done when ’tis done

Following Miles King’s assessment of nature conservation in the UK in the wake of ‘Brexit’ n the October issue of British Wildlife, John Hopkins takes a wider view of Britain’s biodiversity in a global context.

The referendum vote to leave the EU has opened alarming uncertainties concerning the protection of nature in the UK. Much that has been gained for conservation through EU membership is now at risk.
