“I can let the Blackthorn and Bramble in our garden grow huge. I can feed the Blackbirds in February when the natural fruit is gone. I can provide nestboxes and shelter for sparrows, and not hate the Sparrowhawks when they take a few. I can pluck a few strands of ivy for festive decoration but put the seeds back out, and never sever it at the base.”
