What Future for the Harvest Mouse

The popular image of the Harvest Mouse, Micromys minutus, is of a tiny, ginger and white rodent, its tail neatly coiled around an ear of corn. Such images on all manner of natural history gift items and television programmes have perpetuated an illusion of abundance and association with the agricultural environment.
