Through a naturalist’s eyes

"I have taken a trip down memory lane. The lane runs from the Paignton-Brixham road under the old Great Western Railway line to low cliffs overlooking Torbay. Below them lies Armchair Rock and a rocky beach of Devon red sandstone which was the scene of many family pictures. The place is still as I remember it many years ago, except that a caravan park now blocks the lane we had to detour around a chain-link fence to reach it."
