Reserve Focus – Dunkery and Horner Wood NNR, West Somerset

The area around Dunkery Beacon and Horner Combe, at the north-eastern corner of Exmoor, has long been appreciated as one of the finest landscapes of England. In recent years, the enormous wildlife value of the area has come to be recognised, culminating in the declaration of 1,626ha as a National Nature Reserve in 1995.
