Too steep for the plough? The history of the Pasqueflower in Britain

The Pasqueflower Pulsatilla vulgaris is one of our most beautiful wild flowers. Its yellow anthers, enclosed in a 'bell' of purple petals, provide a vivid display around Easter, when few other plants are in flower.
