Large house spiders in the British Isles: past, present and future

For perfectly understandable reasons, species for which there are pressing conservation concerns are often the focus of research efforts, whereas abundant and widespread organisms tend to be neglected. These common species, however, can be equally rewarding to study by revealing facinating natural histories and shedding light on fundamental biologcal processes.
