Classic wildlife sites: Malham Tarn National Nature Reserve

High in the Pennines on the boundary catchment between north-east and north-west England lies Malhamdale. Internationally recognised for its geomorphology and natural history, this area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, only 6km from the market town of Settle in North Yorkshire, represents the boundary where northern, southern, upland and lowland species and habitats come together in a geographically small area.
