"We moved into this house at the same time as a Mole moved into the garden. For a couple of years, I would go out every week or so and clear a barrow-load of soil from the lawn before the freshy erupted piles killed the underlying grass. Over the last year, however, molehills have become a rare sight, so my refusal to succumb to suggestions that I trap the culprit has been vindicated."
