The legacy and significance of The Life of the Robin by David Lack

All the year around you can still see, and through most of the year as well, plenty of Robins Erithacus rubecula around Dartington Hall, near Totnes, in Devon. It is possible that those birds are the 40-50 times great grandchildren, probably mainly through the male line, of those which my father studied there in the 1930s.
