The affair of the ‘Long-willied (Real’s) Wood White

The first resident species of butterfly to be discovered in the British Isles for over 100 years has been identified from Ireland. Already, its scientific name has changed since the species was first named, in France in 1988. The Irish discovery looks set to cause another name change. Will the new species be found in England? Is it a true species, anyway?
