Are Glow-worms disappearing?

Despite its misleading common name, the Glow-worm Lampyris noctiluca is a beeter, a representative of the firefly family, Lampyridae, which contains just two British species. The other, the Lesser Glow-worm Phosphaenus hemipterus, is confined to a small area  centred of Lewes, in East Sussex.
