Habitat management news

In April 2002, Buglife began working on a DEFRA-funded project to develop habitat management strategies for invertebrates in Priority Habitats in England. Although general information on habitat management for invertebrates is availiable (Peter Kirby's excellent Habitat Management for Invertebrates is well worth reading), it has often been difficult to link this information with specific habitats and species so as to allow reserve managers and policy officers effectively to manage their reserve without inadvertently causing losses of invertebrate species.
