Habitat management news

Following on from the valuable article by Rob Sheldon on conservation management for breeding Lapwings Vanellus vanellus (BW 14: 109-116), some further interesting points were noted from a recent visit to a Warwarkshire farm in early April. The Lapwing is a target species for the Countryside Stewardship agreement on a 109ha mixed farm.
