Habitat management news

The large-scale loss and degradation of wetlands across much of Europe have been cited as a major cause of the serious declines in grassland-breeding waders such as Lapwing Vanellus vanellus and Redshank Tringa totanus. To reverse these declines, through appropriate habitat management, it is essential to have an understanding of the habitat requirements of these species.
