British wildlife and climate change 3. The future

In this, the third of a series of articles looking at climate change (Hopkins 2007a, b), we consider the future prospects for our wildlife in the 21st century. The UK Climate Impacts Programme projection is a rise in UK temperature of between 2°C and 3.5°C by the end of this century, with most rise in the south-east.
