Habitat management news

With an estimated 24,000ha of field margins having been created by farmers in England through Environmetnal Stewardship, how to maximise their wildlife value is a question asked by many farmers. Although most have developed into thick grassland, field margins still provide numerous wildlife benefits, such as buffering adjacent habitats, supporting beneficial insects, and providing hunting habitat for Barn Owls and nest habitat for Grey Partridges.
