Supplementary feeding of subadult Choughs

The island of Islay, in the Inner Hebrides, holds a resident population of approximately 45-70 breeding pairs of Choughs Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax, representing the majority of the Scottish population. Islay's Choughs have been the subject of an individual-based study since 1981 (Bignal et al. 1997; Reid et al. 2003).
