Twitcher in the Swamp

"Twitcher felt obliged to wait until the outcome of the referendum on independence for Scotland before drafting his usual bimonthly despatch. The implications for British Wildlife of a 'yes' vote were appalling. We could hardly carry on with that name, nor could we call it 'British and Scottish Wildlife' either. By including the name of independent Scotland there would be a clamour from our Welsh, Northern Irish and perhaps Cornish readers for equal treatment. Oh, and possiblly from the English, too, who tend to be overlooked in matters of this sort. Scottish, Welsh, Irish (Northern) and English Wildlife? Unfortunately, the very necesary acronym would be SWINE, which really would not do at all."
