Twitcher in the Swamp

"Twitcher is in a Scottish swamp this month: the skirls and hoots from distant lairdly battlements have penetrated even this rustic ivy-hung retreat. In April the short-lived NCC for Scotland was replaced by a brand new countryside n' wildlife outfit called Scottish Natural Heritage, dedicated to 'sweep away many of the misunderstandings and disputes of the past' (many? Is that all? Why not all of them, right away?).
