The Tansy Beetle had been the focus of a British Wildlife article back in 2003, but since then our understanding of this species has vastly improved. 18 years later, Geoff Oxford provides a thorough update on what we now know about this species and describes the rediscovery of the Tansy Beetle in East Anglia.
Almost two decades ago an article was published in this magazine outlining the ecology, life history and threats to the Tansy Beetle Chrysolina graminis (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in what was thought to be the only extant population in Britain, on the banks of the River Ouse near York (Oxford et al. 2003). Much has happened since then.
