Twitcher in the Swamp

"My ear aches, and a drowsy numbness pains my senses. The Nightingale has started again. It was here when Twitcher moved home to the pretty village of Ramsbury in the Kennet valley halfway through April, and it has sung every day, and sometimes all day (as well, of course, as all night), for three weeks now. Unless it does without food and sleep all this time, there must be two of them in there, working in relays. Now there is an echo. It has found a mate. I can't stand it."
