The Social Life of the Chough

The distinctive behaviour of the Chough, Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax, both when on the ground and in the air, its evocative call and its striking red beak and legs all contribute to a fascination that British naturalists have for this charismatic member of the crow family. Indeed, these wonderful birds have held us completely in their thrall over the many years we have been fortunate enough to study them.
