Identification – Bindweeds

Few people will be unfamiliar with the bindweeds. Whilst to the rambler and naturalist their large, attractive trumpet-flowers and arrow-shaped leaves provide additional grace to our hedgerows, generations of gardeners and farmers have cursed these plants, which rank among the most invasive of all pernicious weeds, capable of smothering and seemingly strangling all that lie in their wake.
