Variation on a Theme – Butterfly Aberrations

The colourful markings of butterflies have undoubtedly made them Britain’s most popular insects, having been collected and studied for well over two centuries. Individual butterflies of the same species all vary slightly from one another in appearance and genetic make-up, as do all creatures, including humans.
