“Do we have a nature crisis or not?”

Since the declaration of a climate emergency in 2019 and Scotland ranked as one of the world’s most nature-depleted countries, nature restoration has become increasingly difficult for land managers to actualise. Hugh Raven considers the juxtaposition of Scotland as in an acknowledged state of climate and biodiversity crises and the continuation of environmentally degrading bureaucracy.
