Last Christmas, the first country dataset (Hertfordshire and Middlesex) was imported into the new National Moth Recording Scheme database. This low-key event, a relatively simple piece of data manipulation, marked not only the culmination of seven years’ hard work to get the scheme up and running, but also the start of something big.
