Robert Gillmor 1936–2022
I have known Robert Gillmor for nearly thirty years, ever since he designed the jacket for my book The New Naturalists. We worked together on another book about the New Naturalist jackets, which was launched in the Pinkfoot Gallery in Cley, which simultaneously ran a sale of his artwork for the series. I also had the privilege of supporting him, with Tony Soper, at a retrospective exhibition of his work at Reading Museum’s art gallery in 2012.
